Drew Consulting Inc. has provided financial and business advisory guidance to the Lake Valley Fire Protection District for many years. Most recently, Andrea Drew, CPA created a “Budget/Forecast Toolkit” to assist the District in developing a current and future trending budget. This toolkit is providing the District the ability to forecast and plan for up-coming liability obligations and resultant funding needs, and better leverage proactive management decisions in meeting the District’s overall financial goals and purpose for the years coming. This particular engagement has therefore showcased her distinctive skill set and provided a unique and beneficial management advisory service to the Fire District.

Drew Consulting Inc. (DCI) supported the Lake Valley Fire Protection District secure and implement a $179,951 U.S. Forest Service Cooperative Agreement on behalf of the Lake Tahoe Airport in South Lake Tahoe, California. The Cooperative Agreement provided funding to make the airport more resilient to an urban wildland fire threat. DCI ensured the grant was closed out properly and within the allocated amount. The project required no less than three separate bid advertisements to find a responsive bidder and DCI remained determined to see the grant through completion. DCI has a proven track record managing regulatory complexity and engaging with multiple area stakeholders. Possessing both traits are necessary to complete projects in the Tahoe Basin. The Lake Tahoe Airport and the City of South Lake Tahoe look forward to future opportunities to work with Drew Consulting Inc.

Our District was saddled with an outdated DOS-based accounting system which limited the District's ability to accurately depict its financial viability. With the help of Drew Consulting Inc., the District was able to swiftly and successfully convert to a robust Quickbooks’ based financial system which has ensured success for both GAAP (financial) and OMB (grant) compliance. This new system has streamlined our accounting processes and helped to provide a whole new approach to financial decision making for the District on all levels.
